All eligible applicants are considered against four criteria:
Academic potential and achievements;
Other significant achievements of any type;

Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility Criteria – commencing at ANU in 2025
To apply for a Tuckwell Scholarship for study at ANU commencing in 2025, applicants must:
be eligible to apply to study at ANU in 2025 via the ANU Direct Application system.
commence and complete Year 12 full-time in 2024, at a school located in Australia.
be 17, 18 or 19 years old on 17 February 2025 (born on or between 18 February 2005 and 17 February 2008), being commencement of Semester 1, 2025.
be an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or the holder of an Australian humanitarian visa, and be in possession of the relevant Birth Certificate, Citizenship Certificate or Visa by 24 May 2024, being the closing date for Stage 2 applications this year.
be predicted by their school to achieve an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 95 or higher. Applicants who are eligible for consideration under the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) may apply for a Tuckwell Scholarship if they are predicted by their school to achieve an ATAR of 90 or higher.
have undertaken:
at least one high school English course/unit in at least one semester during Year 11 or Year 12; and
at least one high school Maths course/unit in at least one semester during Year 11 or Year 12.

Open to current Year 12 students, Professional Cadetships provide unparalleled opportunities. As a Cadet, you combine study at the university of your choice with paid work at a leading company.
As a Business Cadet employed by a leading global company, you have the opportunity to gain a breadth of industry experience. You will develop critical financial skills and be in a position to apply what you learn at university to work. On graduation, Business Cadets will have a competitive edge in the finance and technology sectors.
Business Cadets become integral players in a professional team. You will be encouraged to show initiative and will be expected to take responsibility for the contributions you make to the company's operation. You will grow personally as well as professionally.
Business Cadets are well remunerated while studying at university. Participating companies will disclose their remuneration package when interviewing preferred applicants.
A Business Cadet is an articulate, highly-motivated young person who enjoys working with other people. He or she demonstrates initiative and is keen to contribute intelligently to the world of banking and finance.

Engineering & Technology Cadetships

Engineering & Technology Cadetships
The Engineering & Technology Cadetships (ETCAD) Program was launched in 2013 by Professional Cadetships Australia (PCA), an Australian company that has a proven record of placing Year 12 students with leading companies. Under previous ETCAD Programs, PCA has placed Engineering Cadets at Rolls-Royce and Cubic Transportation Systems and Technology Cadets at UBS, Macquarie Group and Westpac.
Under the 2024 ETCAD Program, Year 12 students have the opportunity to apply for a Technology Cadetship. Cadets will be placed at UBS in the Group Operations and Technology Office where they will gain experience across the business.
Technology Cadets combine work with university study in computer science, information technology or information systems. Alternatively, cadets may undertake a generalist degree like arts or business. Some combined degrees may also be chosen.
Engineering Cadetships will not be offered this year.
Engineering and Technology Cadets are highly-motivated young people who are sound communicators and effective team players. If you are a creative thinker who is keen to solve problems that affect our future you really should apply for the ETCAD Program.
